Membership

Membership in the Maryland State Numismatic Association is open to anyone and subject to its constitution and bylaws. To apply, please fill out our membership application, include the appropriate fee (see below), and mail it to:

Maryland State Numismatic Association, Inc.
P.O. Box 13504
Silver Spring, MD 20911-3504

New members will receive the current edition of the Maryland Numismatist.

Benefits?

As part of a one-year membership, you will receive three issues of The Maryland Numismatist, the official journal of MSNA.  All prior issues prior to the current issue are accessible at the Newman Numismatic Portal at the link at the beginning of this sentence. Recent issues have discussed various Civil War scrip from the MSNA John B. Henry collection, zodiac medals, club activities, results and more.

MSNA will pay $50 for any article written by anyone other than an MSNA officer or the journal editor and published in the journal.  The article must not have been published elsewhere.  While articles about Maryland topics are preferred, any article on a numismatic topic will be considered. Contact the editor for more information about submitting articles.

MSNA has a number of exhibits that it can bring to your club for a presentation. In addition to the Civil War scrip, the John B. Henry collection has Civil War tokens, Revolutionary era notes, and more. We love to share with your club. And if you have us come, we’ll bring free MSNA giveaways for those in attendance. You can contact MSNA at MSNAonline.org@ gmail.com.

MSNA also sponsors a competitive exhibit at the Spring Baltimore Whitman Show. There are prizes for the top three exhibitors, and all other exhibitors receive prizes for participating.  More details about exhibiting and an exhibition application appear in the Autumn issue of the Maryland Numismatist.
